Where Notta is stronger
- More platforms. The Notta bot works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex and Slack, even on the free plan. Murmel does Teams and Meet.
- Price per hour billed annually. Pro costs €7 a month billed annually for 30 hours. If you record a lot all year, you pay less per hour at Notta than at Murmel Basic.
- Summaries and translation. AI summaries and translation from Pro. Murmel delivers the transcript only.
- Languages and apps. Up to 58 languages, iOS and Android apps and a Chrome extension.
- Enterprise. Notta has an Enterprise plan for large teams.
Where Murmel is different
Notta supports Dutch as one of many languages and quotes a general accuracy of up to 98.86%, without a separate figure for Dutch. Murmel is made only for Dutch (and English), with a model trained from scratch on Dutch speech. The measurement on four open Dutch benchmarks is in the Murmel v5 write-up; Notta was not part of that test.
- Known where your data is. At Murmel it is the Netherlands: Scaleway for storage, Leafcloud in Amsterdam for processing. Notta names AWS, without a region.
- No training without consent. Your recordings are only used to improve the model if you turn that on yourself.
- Pay per hour. For someone who transcribes a few times a year: credits at €1.45 per hour incl. VAT, valid six months.
- Long recordings. Even a six-hour study day is fully processed; Notta stops at 5 hours per file.
What it costs: two examples
10 hours of meetings a month
Notta Pro costs €11.69 a month for 30 hours; billed annually €7 a month. Murmel Basic costs €10.89 incl. VAT for 12 hours, with 20% off billed annually. Monthly they are close; billed annually Notta is cheaper. The difference is then where recordings are stored and whether you use Zoom. More on processing meetings in meeting minutes.
One interview of one hour
The Notta free plan stops after 3 minutes per recording, so for an hour you need Pro (€11.69 for a month) or the 7-day Business trial. At Murmel you buy €6.05 in credits, enough for over four hours.

How this comparison was made
This page was written by Murmel itself, not by an independent party. Murmel has no affiliation with Notta. On 22 October 2026 these public pages were checked: the Notta pricing page, terms, security page and Dutch page. Only what they state has been used. Prices and features change, so always check the Notta website itself before you decide. Murmel has not measured the accuracy of Notta, so this page makes no claim about it. How Murmel itself is measured is described in the benchmark methodology. Spotted a mistake or an outdated price? Let us know via contact and it will be corrected.
