Where Transkriptor is stronger

  • Many hours for little money. Pro gives 40 hours for $19.99 a month, or $8.33 a month billed annually. If you transcribe 20 hours or more every month, you pay less at Transkriptor than at Murmel.
  • Languages and translation. Over 100 languages, with translation. Murmel does Dutch and English and does not translate.
  • Zoom bot, apps and summaries. A bot for Zoom, Meet and Teams, iOS and Android apps and AI summaries on Pro.
  • Very long files. No duration limit; at Murmel the cap is 12 hours per upload.

Where Murmel is different

Transkriptor supports Dutch as one of over 100 languages. There is no independent measurement of how well it does. Murmel is made only for Dutch and English, with an own model trained from scratch on Dutch speech that makes the fewest errors of the seven models tested on four open Dutch benchmarks (the measurement). Transkriptor was not part of that test.

  • A Dutch supplier. The AI Factory B.V. in Amsterdam, with processing and storage in the Netherlands, payment by iDEAL and Dutch invoices in euros. Useful for a government organisation that wants a processing agreement with a Dutch party.
  • Clear about training. Your recordings are only used for training if you switch on the Training data setting yourself.
  • Vocabulary and more export formats. Teach the model your terms with the vocabulary and export to VTT, PDF, RTF and CSV among others.
  • Small amounts. Prepaid credits at €1.45 per hour incl. VAT, no subscription.

What it costs: two examples

10 hours a month

Lite (5 hours) is too little, so at Transkriptor it becomes Pro: $19.99 a month for 40 hours, or $8.33 a month billed annually. At Murmel it fits Basic: €10.89 incl. VAT for 12 hours. Monthly Murmel is cheaper, billed annually Transkriptor. If you rarely need more than 12 hours, at Murmel you do not pay for 28 hours you do not use.

One interview of one hour

At Transkriptor the smallest plan is Lite: $9.99 for a month with 300 minutes. At Murmel you buy €6.05 in credits, enough for over four hours and valid six months.

How this comparison was made

This page was written by Murmel itself, not by an independent party. Murmel has no affiliation with Transkriptor. On 22 October 2026 these public pages were checked: the Transkriptor pricing page, security page, privacy policy and API documentation. Only what they state has been used. Prices and features change, so always check the Transkriptor website itself before you decide. Murmel has not measured the accuracy of Transkriptor, so this page makes no claim about it. How Murmel itself is measured is described in the benchmark methodology. Spotted a mistake or an outdated price? Let us know via contact and it will be corrected.
