New: Murmel automatically transcribes your meetings
Paste a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link and Murmel joins as a participant, records the meeting, and delivers the transcript afterwards. Available today as a beta for everyone with a Murmel account.
Until now Murmel worked on files: record, upload, transcript. For meetings that is a detour. You have to remember to hit record, find the file afterwards, and upload it anyway. Those steps are gone.
How it works
Open Meetings in the app and paste your meeting link. Two options:
- Join now: the notetaker sets off immediately, within seconds.
- Schedule: pick a date and time, and it shows up just before the meeting starts.
A participant called "Murmel.nl transcriptie" appears in the list. Admit it and recording starts. When the meeting ends the transcript shows up in the Studio, where it behaves like any other transcript: search, edit, export.
You can also end the recording yourself with a single button. The transcript is kept either way.
Why the notetaker joins visibly
The notetaker appears by name in the participant list, and that is deliberate: everyone in the call can see that recording is happening and who is doing it.
Recording and transcription run on European infrastructure, like the rest of Murmel. No audio goes to a US service.
This is a beta

What it costs
The same as any other transcription: you pay for the minutes actually recorded. Silence at the end of a meeting, after everyone has left, is stripped before anything is counted.
